WELCOME TO A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
Est. 1894 AVALON STABLES
It was a changing world. The civil war was history, and many new things were coming to a world at an alarming rate. Coming were not just items and technologies, but ideas and systems. The period where women were considered frail, delicate creatures was at its close. Most of all, the world was shrinking.
Miss Charlotte Avalon, daughter of the prominent southern gentleman Robert Avalon, was one such example of the changing times. After the south's loss during the civil war, Mr. Robert Avalon had done a most astounding thing- turned around and opened a buisness to do buisness with the Yankees. His money quickly accumulated, and he opened more buisnesses, of all different sorts. What started as a simple lumber mill had brought back the money to this family that would have been called "old money" by today's slang.
Although not his most successful buisness venture, the stables were his dearest. Avalon opened in 1886 as a livery stable, later turned to private stable, and then finally to its present state as a riding academy. And thus, a tradition of excellence was born. Despite most people's reactions, Charlotte became a glorious rider, spending most her time on her beloved horse, Blu.
Six generations after Charlotte, Avalon is still functioning. Now one of the top riding academies in the nation, maybe even in the world, riders compete every year in hopes of a place at the academy. But don't be fooled, despite what it seems to the outside world, Avalon is a treasure trove of delicious, scandalous secrets - you never know where one might lead. Be careful what you wish for, loves.
